We are privileged and humbled to announce that we are sponsoring Port Adelaide AFLW player Lily Johnson for the 2023 AFLW season! Lily made her AFLW debut in Round 8 of AFLW Season Seven against North Melbourne, on 15 October 2022. She scored her first goal for the Club on debut at Alberton Oval. Click here to watch it. Click here to watch her highlights reel prior to joining the Club! We are super excited to get to know Lily so early in her career and look forward to following her career journey as she continues to grow, develop and build her contribution to the Club. We will support her, and the whole squad, as they look to build even higher in their second season. Lily joins a long list of players we have sponsored, both Port Adelaide and grassroots: 2015: Johann 'Yoey' Wagner (Port Adelaide) 2017: Logan Austin (Port Adelaide) 2017: Emma Hartung-Gleeson (Port Adelaide Women's Football Club, not to be confused with the AFLW) 2017: Jasmin Staltari (O'Sullivan Beach/Lonsdale) 2018: Joel Garner (Port Adelaide) 2019: Caitlin Smith (Pulteney) 2023: Lily Johnson (Port Adelaide) All our Player Sponsorships have been possible thanks to the generosity of all PAFC fans toward The Alberton Crowd's fundraising efforts in the form of raffles at our Prematch events, Scarves, Badges and more - so thank YOU! We’re delighted to launch ‘Port Jobs’, a simple and quick initiative to connect Port-supporting employers with Port-supporting workers and jobseekers!
As always, we value members of the PAFC community who want to make a difference. The Alberton Crowd has connections with a proudly South Australian not-for-profit organisation active in the employment services area. To find out more, visit: https://thealbertoncrowd.weebly.com/port-jobs.html We relaunched our Fan Engagement Survey in November, 2021! First released in late 2019, re-releasing this to the PAFC community has allowed us to gauge the Club's progress in achieving the desired suggestions made by fans in the Survey.
Thanks to everyone who participated - we will collate results and update via a report accordingly! We encourage you to join in some isolation fun - the first ever PAFC Couch Choir!
Couch Choirs involve multiple individual recordings of performances that are then edited together in a single video. We hope that these videos can be shown to the players to connect them with fans during this time. This is the first of many. We are starting with 'Never Tear Us Apart' and will do more songs as it grows. See below on how to participate for Couch Choir #1! Thanks to everyone who participated back in May-June, 2020. On the day of PAFC's 150th Anniversary, TAC handed over its completed 'PAFC Supporter Engagement Strategy' to CEO Keith Thomas.
The Strategy is the culmination of input from fans across late 2019. To achieve this, TAC launched an online Fan Survey followed by a Submission period and a Public Fan Summit, which was held at the London Tavern. We thank everyone involved in this project. If you would like a copy, feel free to get in touch.
Design a PAFC Badge!See the image above for the details of our quirky competition! The badge design should be 58mm from top to bottom, and please allow 5mm for the plastic wraparound coating. If you wish to know more, send us an email. A PDF and Word Document template can be found below. Simply click to download. Good luck!
At long last, we are delighted to reveal our 2019 scarf designs. As always, we have opted to bring you two fresh ideas. We have listened to long-running feedback, and in the 149th year of Port Adelaide FC, we have introduced a first-ever 'Follow the Creed' scarf. This scarf features design elements that show what our Club is all about. Secondly, in another first, we are launching a dual-colour scarf, perfectly able to match or complement any guernsey that you are wearing! Simply hit the button below to go to our Scarf Shop, or get in touch with us via email or Facebook to get one at the London Tavern or Adelaide Oval on match days! The Alberton Crowd is proud to support the call by the International Association of Public Participation (IAP2) for an 'International Year of Engagement'.
IAP2 (of which IAP2 Australasia is the largest arm worldwide) is an association that advocates for, promotes and seeks to improve the practice of public participation, also known as community or stakeholder engagement, at all levels. TAC is a group that also advocates for maximum involvement of a community in decisions that affect it. As a group, we engage with thousands of members of the Port Adelaide FC fan community on a daily basis. We seek to partner with supporters on key decisions and initiatives, both online and in person. As a result, it is an easy decision to join IAP2 in calling for an International Year of Engagement. To read more, click here: https://www.iap2.org.au/About-Us/International-Year-of-Engagement |
